THE PROBLEM:

Tencor Surfscan models 6100, 6200, 6210, 6220, 6400, 6410, and 6420 have a Dallas Semiconductor Security key on the circuit board.

This Key Module has a Button Cell Watch Battery SEALED inside to keep the “Tool/Options Enabled” stored in Volatile Memory when the system is powered down. The replacement part is Obsolete and very hard to source.

This Battery Life is only 10 years!

Most likely, your Key Module was made 3 DECADES ago. So, you have 90% chance that your Key is almost dead or will die very quickly when AC power is removed from the Surfscan.

When your KEY memory ERASES – YOU ARE DOWN HARD!

THE SOLUTION:

  • We have a Custom Programmed Key
  • Modules with New Battery!
